My Kind of River Journey: Seeking Passage on the Mississippi

The latest in a moving series of memoirs from the Center for American Places that celebrate the connection between individual and place, "My Kind of River Journey" takes the reader to the storied Mississippi River through the eyes of poet Susan Carol Hauser. Drawn, as many have been, to the siren call of the country's longest river, Hauser and her husband traveled the Mississippi, from St. Paul to the Gulf of Mexico, on a repurposed ocean trawler.
